My pictures of the Po Lin Monastery (Bǎo Lián Chán Sì 寶蓮禪寺), a Buddhist temple, in Hong Kong from my 2009 trip to China. The temple was founded in 1906 by visiting Buddhist monks. The main temple houses three bronze statues of the Buddha representing his past, present and future lives. The Tian Tan Buddha is an extension of the monastery that was completed in 1993 and until 2007 was the tallest outdoor bronze seated statue of the Buddha in the world.
