My pictures of the Nine Dragon Academy’s Qing Ming Jie celebration. The Moon Festival is a harvest celebration that is similar in some ways to Thanksgiving in the United States. This holiday is very important for families in Chinese culture. We chose this auspicious celebration to set up the school’s ancestral altar. The ancestral altar is an important part of any kung fu school and is a constant reminder that without the efforts of the kung fu masters that came before us, we would not have the opportunity to learn kung fu today.
