My pictures of the Forbidden City (Zǐjinchéng 紫禁城) in Beijing, China on my 2008 trip to China. The Forbidden City was the Chinese imperial palace during the Ming Dynasty. It is located in the middle of the city and is now the Palace Museum. The Forbidden City is the largest surviving palace in the world and consists of 980 buildings and 9,999 rooms. The Forbidden City is amazing must see for anyone visiting Beijing.
