Bok Lei Po Trading Inc. is a kung fu equipment vendor located in New York, NY. They specialize in kung fu weaponry and training equipment, but do carry a limited amount of products from other martial arts styles.
Product Quality
Most of the weapons and equipment found on the Bok Lei Po website can easily be found on other kung fu vendor websites. The training equipment and weapons are very sturdy and of solid quality, though they tend to favor training and wushu style equipment. If you are looking for combat ready weapons or traditional style weapons there are other vendors that have better products for those types of equipment.
Website
The Bok Lei Po website is very minimalistic without a lot of color or style. They offer a lot of products, but sometimes it can be difficult to find what you are looking for since the categories can be a little misleading. Viewing the product detail often does not give you much more information than is available in the product list and the descriptions of the products are very limited. Checking out is a simple process, though it does require you to create an account on the website.
Wholesale Accounts
Bok Lei Po does offer wholesale accounts for kung fu schools and re-sellers. I find that their wholesale prices are very reasonable and it is worth setting up an account if you purchase weapons for your kung fu school. They do have a one time minimum purchase to set up the account, but it is not terribly expensive if you are setting up your initial stock.
Ordering
Ordering on the website is relatively painless, though I feel that their prices online are a little steep for some of their equipment. You can find similar items of equal quality cheaper from other sources. Orders are delivered in a very reasonable amount of time even for long weapons such as staves and spears. Wholesale accounts must order by mail since I do not believe the website supports purchasing with a wholesale discount.
Rating 3 / 5
Bok Lei Po offers solid equipment, but there is not much variety and you can find the items through other vendors. The wholesale account is worth it, but the prices for individuals seems a little on the high side to me. Their website is not the best, but it is stable and Bok Lei Po is a very solid vendor of kung fu training equipment and weapons. I give them a 3 / 5 stars.
