Today marks the start of the Chinese Lunar New Year.  This year we transition to the year of the Earth Ox.  This year is characterized by prosperity achieved through hard work and diligence.  Patience and perseverance through the year will lead to better decisions and result in prosperity.

At the Shaolin Lohan Pai, we have already begun our busy season of performing Lion Dances to bring in the Lunar New Year and bring good luck to businesses and organizations throughout the St. Louis, MO area.  We have had a busy weekend leading up the beginning of the Lunar New Year season and will continue doing shows off and on for the remainder of the roughly two week period until the Lantern Festival which marks the end of the Lunar New Year Holiday.

We have been featured this year in a few television spots during First Night and now there is a short video clip that was posted by the St. Louis Post Dispatch today as well as a photo placed on the cover of today’s paper.  Please take a moment to watch the video here.

I want to take a moment to wish you all a happy year of the ox along with much prosperity for the new year.

Xin Nian Kuai Le (新年快樂)!
Gong Xi Fa Cai (恭喜发财)!
